Impacts of the curfew in India
This briefing is to update CPs on the impacts to Openreach desk based operations due to the continuation of the COVID-19 curfew being implemented by the Indian government.
The Indian government announced that it would be extending the curfew, due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, to today 23 March 2020.
Further to the note we issued yesterday, we can confirm that the Indian government restrictions have been strictly imposed by the authorities today. This is causing greater disruption to our Customer Service contact channels and our back-office functions than could have been anticipated.
The table below reflects our current position. Please be assured that we are attempting to improve the situation with all our efforts in this unprecedented time.
Meanwhile, at this time please can we ask that you only contact Openreach if you have a critical situation with an end customer.
