Tudor Grange Academies Trust, based in the West Midlands are one of the leading and fastest growing multi-academies trusts (MAT) in the UK. Originating in Solihull with Tudor Grange High School, they now combine three Secondary Schools with two Primary schools into their multi-academy trust. They currently have two sites in Worcestershire, and three in the West Midlands. Midland Telecom has worked with Tudor Grange since 2007.
Tudor Grange Academies Trust needed to seamlessly link all their campuses together with a modern and easy to use, Unified Communication System. Starting out with a collection of differing systems and network suppliers, TGA Trust Academies needed an experienced supplier capable of managing this transition. Midland Telecom stood out as the key supplier capable of managing all the elements of the transition, with the right level of experience in similar projects.
Midland Telecom provided a new Unify OpenScape Business UC platform. This offered them the single upgradeable and expandable UC platform they required. The IT teams, Cable installers, Openreach and System Engineers all worked together to deliver the solution in a narrow project timeframe. The transition from traditional copper lines to modern IP SIP trunks were delivered economically over Tudor Grange’s existing Janet internet service. To ensure satisfaction across all users a training plan was drawn up to introduce all the users to the new, easy to use Unify UC solution with a series of on-site training sessions at each local campus.
