Fibre Broadband
Fibre Broadband options and the expected speeds
More Information
Some more information on the different types of connections we provide.
FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet)
FTTC is a connectivity technology that is based on a combination of fibre optic and copper cable.
What speeds are available?
Speeds are restricted by location but are capable of delivering download speeds of up to 80Mbps download/20Mbps upload.
Midland Telecom can currently provide fibre internet to around 90% of the UK so there is a good chance that this is available in your area.
With prices from £19.99pm FTTC is the perfect partner to provide connectivity for your Midland Telecom cloud and hosted telephony.
FTTP/FTTH (Fibre to the Premises)
FTTP is basically FTTC but instead of a copper cable being run from the little green boxes at the end of your road the fibre is delivered to your doorstep. This eliminates the copper technology altogether to provide a full 21st Century fibre solution.
What speeds are available?
FTTP downloads can reach an ultrafast 330Mbps.
With prices from £39.99 this makes FTTP the best bang for your buck.
