An Introduction To VOIP and SIP Protocol’s

Midland Telecom have become experts in VOIP and SIP phones systems, with the majority of solutions deployed over the last 18 months being of this technology. We are Experts in deploying VOIP Multi Site solutions, linking business’s and Home workers together over our own branded VPN networks and MPLS WAN’s.

Many of our premium clients have chosen to adopt the latest technology, deploying VOIP/SIP and IP Telephony. We are able to deploy complex Multi Site Global solutions, linking up many sites accross the world, the benefits for this are that they work as one system, easy to manage, with Free voice calls over the IP phone systems network, VPN and WAN in situ. The call traffic is treated as Internal, and as such making internal calls not only Free, but easier.

With the developments of VOIP we are able to offer clients the option of having a fixed IP Phone at their home, so that they are literally an extension from the office, meaning that they can take and make calls free of charge as though they are in the office.

Further more we are able to offer a SOFT IP Phone Client, which is a piece o software that sits on their LapTop, this literally turns their lapTop into an extension from the office as per the fixed phone, but as they are using it on a Wireless LapTop or PDA, anywhere they can get onto their VPN back to their office, they can be an extension from the system, be that sitting in Macdonalds or an Airport, or sitting at home on their WiFi network.

This is very common technology, and we are experts in deploying this.

For Example:

We could add an IP Softphone like the Nortel i2050 to your lap top, also adding the Unified messaging and Fax server licences, this would then allow you to be an extension from the office, plus see your voicemails, emails and faxes in Outlook/Lotus Notes anywhere in thw rold that you are VPN connected back to your office.
