The Nortel BCM or Business Communications Manager 50 is commonly known as an an all-in-one office in a box. Its a cost competitive converged voice and data communications platform; designed for the SME business with 3 to 80 users. The BCM50 offers SME features on a SMB solution including advanced capabilities, markey leading telephony features, voice messaging, (including the ability to forward voice, fax or text messages to the most popular mobile devices) unified messaging, IP telephony, IP, VOIP, SIP and QSIG networking, Internet access, contact centers, mobility solutions. Its designed to be easy-to-use with highly flexible architecture, the BCM 50 allows small sites to benefit from Unified Communications technology and capabilities.

Voice messaging and Message Forwarding: a must for employees on the go

Using the Voicemail and unified Messaging Software even if employees aren’t there to answer the phone, they can still get the message. With 100 hours of storage callers can leave information in a mailbox for selected users, departments or groups of users. Individuals record personalized greetings and are able to access their messages anywhere-anytime via password-protected access to their messages marked with calling line ID, time and date of the call and priority level. With Message Forwarding, voice, fax or text messages can be forwarded to the most popular mobile devices - keeping employees connected wherever they go.

BCM50 consolidates voice, fax and email messages onto users’ PCs, laptops or PDAs, managing them through one standard application such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Novell or Exchange.
